Globe Lights

What? These are so cool. I came across this pic while surfing around.

So now I guess I have to:
1. Find some globes.
2. Get a lamp kit from the hardware store.
3. Figure out how the crap I'm gonna cut the globes in half.
4. assemble and hang em up.

Seems easy enough? Right?

Take a Cue

Pool balls were used to add a punch of color to green potted plants. Find other unusual items at flea markets, yard sales, and secondhand stores to bring character to your own outdoor spaces. As these planters prove, your accents don't have to be huge to make a fun impact.

3-D Photo Collage

Display old family photos with a through-the-generations display. Prop photocopies or computer printouts of photos inside clear jars or canisters, and group into a conversation-starting 3-D collage. Include current pictures of your family, but convert them to back-and-white to match the older photos.

DIY Botanical Prints

Update the classic look of botanical prints with this easy DIY project. Silk or plastic greenery is laid on a blank canvas and a coat of spray paint creates the reverse silhouette. Use torn painters tape to mask off the edges for an irregular look.

Ikea has a few very nice serving trays:

Tray, patterned black
